Hi everyone!
My name is Emmanuel Katto. I’m currently working on an application in Tadabase that will handle large datasets, and I’m concerned about performance issues as we scale. What strategies or best practices have you found effective for optimizing app performance with large volumes of data?
Are there specific features in Tadabase that can help improve loading times or data retrieval?
I appreciate any insights or experiences you can share!
My recommendation would be to reach out to Tadabase Support to determine your needs. Since TB is primarily built as a multi-tenant platform, a “busy/noise” neighbor may slow down responsiveness. If you are working with large data sets, there may be a need to create a private or semi-private server for you.
I don’t want to speak out of turn so, reach out to Tadabase Support.
Performance depends on a lot of things - size of dataset but also what you’re doing with it. Be mindful of excessive equations, rollups, and connections.
The more complex equations and roll ups you have the more resources you’ll need.
The system is scalable, all the way up to Enterprise which would have a dedicated database.
You can check the logs in your settings to see how long queries are taking. This is a good idea to monitor.
