Action Link Failure Message

When setting up an Action Link to send an email, I can set up a success message. However, I don’t see a way to set up a failure message. My email is set up to send info based on certain employee roles, but if someone tries to send a message to an employee who does NOT have one of those roles, I would like to send a failure message explaining why the message will not be sent. Is this possible, or should this be a feature request?


@Henry, I don’t believe a failure message is available. One workaround would be to create a display rule that would hide the action button/link when the role is not the correct one.


@SafetyUniversity Good tip! It does not explain why the button is gone, but it does make it clear that something is making it unavailable.
