I know it’s been a while since this post was made but I wanted to update you a bit regarding your questions.
The Resource Field seems to only display on the calendar when the is something scheduled for that resource. I need the list of resources to display all the time.
This is something we’re testing right now 
Remove the time (hours) from the calendar
