Emmanuel Katto Dubai | Setting Today's Date as Default Value in Form Fields

Hi All,

I’m Emmanuel Katto from Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE) currently working on a form where I display various data fields for users to input their information. I’d like to set the default value of a date field to today’s date.

Can anyone suggest the best way to do this? I’d appreciate it if you could share any approaches or code snippets, especially if you’ve worked with date fields before.

Welcome to the TB community. you can add a table rule. Each time a record is created, set date/time to current-date- time.

You can do that in the Data Builder on the Date field, however this only works on new forms, not edit forms.
