Hi,
I’ve been using Knack for quite some time and feel fairly comfortable working with it. Recently, though, I’ve started exploring Tadabase and am considering making the switch, mainly because it seems to offer more flexibility and features than I’ve found in Knack.
At the same time, I’m trying to get a clearer picture of the potential downsides — what I might miss from Knack, or which features Tadabase lacks in comparison.
Has anyone here made a similar transition, or used both platforms, and could share their experiences?

Hi @johankastanjeskolan -
I evaluated Knack when I first on boarded with Tadabase approximately four years ago and have kept up-to-date with Knack’s capabilities throughout the past couple of years. I can state with confidence that Tadabase is far superior in virtually all features and functionality. The features that I very much appreciate over any other no code/low code database application is the front end design that Tadabase has created. Whether you’re with Knack or Quickbase or Cassio you have to manually build most of the front end pages.
Tadabase does have some unique limitations that are specific to certain designs. Those limitations would be highly dependent upon how your developing your database solution however I can state that with either custom JavaScript or using a simple external source like make.com. I’ve been able to achieve every single one of my customizations.
Hope this helps,
Adam.
