:red_envelope:  With the arrival of Chinese New Year, we’re charging ahead into the Year of the Horse. Saddle up and let’s see what the team has been racing toward :fire:.

:clapper_board: Behind the Scenes:

Most of our work this week has been focused behind the scenes, optimizing recently released features to ensure they are stable, performant, and ready for broader use.

At the same time, we’ve been making strong progress on major upcoming functionality, including the new Workflows system.

:high_voltage: Sneak Preview: Workflows

We’ve been hard at working rebuilding our entire automation system and are excited to share a preview of what’s coming next :tada:.

Our goal is to simplify and centralize all aspects of Automations, Pipes and Rules into a single, intuitive interface we’re calling Workflows.

This has been in development for quite some time, and once launched, it will:

  • Eliminate the need for most Pipes used for advanced functions like Date, and Text manipulation.
  • Remove the need to manage standalone custom JavaScript outside the flow.
  • Replace Record Utilities for actions such as duplicating records, copying records, or performing lookups.
  • Display detailed progress messages to app users as each workflow step runs.
  • Provide rich debugging tools so you can clearly see what is happening at every stage.

As shown in the preview images below, we’re adding a wide range of new actions to help you manage and manipulate records directly within the workflow itself :backhand_index_pointing_down:.

:eye: Detailed App Side Visibility

You’ll also get enhanced app side visibility, allowing users to see progress and status updates as each step in a workflow executes. Check it out :eyes: :

This is a major evolution of how automation works in Tadabase, designed to make advanced processes more powerful, transparent, and easier to manage :rocket:.

:bug: Bug Fixes:

  • Fixed an issue with the Login page when hiding the Security tab.

  • Removed the Security tab from the Signup page.

  • Fixed an issue where connected pages in Pivot popups were not displaying links correctly.

  • Fixed an issue where modal popups were breaking the filter dropdown.

  • Fixed an issue where detail pages in great grandchild pages were losing linking after save.

  • Fixed an issue where default app design settings were not being inherited in Layouts and Login or Signup pages.

For a complete list of fixes, see our release notes.

:chequered_flag: Whoa there, we’re heading to the stables with this one, Tadabasers. Happy building and see you next week :crescent_moon:.
