Tuesdays with Tadabase - October 27th 2026

:light_bulb: :door: The lights are flickering, the doors are creaking, and Halloween is almost here. Our team has a few surprises hiding behind the doors of this week’s update. Let’s take a peek!

Our engineers have shared:

:locked_with_key: Security Update

:shield: Proactive PHP Security Patching

Following the disclosure of a serious PHP security vulnerability last week, our team acted quickly to protect the Tadabase platform. Within hours of the official patch becoming available, we updated all affected servers and verified that the fix was successfully applied.

We’ve found no evidence that Tadabase was impacted, and all apps and data remained available throughout the process. No action is required on your end.

As always, keeping your applications and data secure remains a top priority.

:repeat_button: Workflow Updates

:outbox_tray: New Export to JSON Action

A new Export to JSON action lets you export up to 500,000 records into a JSON file directly from a Workflow. Export records from tables, connected records, or previous steps, then save the file, attach it to an email, or use it in other Workflow actions.

:abacus: More Accurate Calculated Values

Record Created and Record Updated Workflows now run after Equations, Rollups, and Formulas are calculated, ensuring that emails, exports, and other actions use the latest values. Calculated fields are also automatically updated when a Workflow changes a field they depend on.

:link: More Flexible Connection Conditions

Workflow conditions now support more precise comparisons for connection fields, including a new is exact option that checks whether both sides contain exactly the same connected records.

:label: Dynamic Export File Names

Export to CSV and Export to JSON actions now support dynamic file name tokens, including dates, timestamps, table names, and logged in user values.

:counterclockwise_arrows_button: A More Unified Workflow Experience

Scheduled Tasks, Webhooks, and Email Catchers are being brought together under Workflows. Apps without existing configurations are now directed to the corresponding Workflow triggers and actions, while existing setups continue working as before.

:bar_chart: Records, Data Tables & Forms

:bust_in_silhouette: New Connected User Filter

A new is not connected to logged in user filter lets you display records that aren’t connected to the current user. This works across Tables, Lists, Charts, Calendars, Maps, and other components, including exports.

:input_latin_uppercase: Case Sensitive Unique Fields

Text fields set to Must be Unique now distinguish between uppercase and lowercase values, so entries like “ABC” and “abc” are treated as different values across Forms, the Builder, API, and Imports.

:inbox_tray: Import Updates

:bell: More Control Over Import Notifications

You can now choose when to receive import completion emails, with options for every import, only when records fail, or never. Notifications can be managed per app or disabled for your entire account.

:clipboard: Clearer Import Results

Import completion emails now provide a more detailed breakdown of added, updated, skipped, and failed records, along with a reference number for easier tracking.

:sparkles: A Simpler Import Experience

Apps with access to the new Importer now have a single Import button in the Records tab, replacing the previous Beta option.

:hammer_and_wrench: Page Builder

:high_voltage: Faster Page Builder Performance

We’ve made performance improvements to the Page Builder, especially for pages with multiple Charts, Pivot Tables, and Universal Components. Pages now load and save more smoothly, with fewer unnecessary refreshes.

:link: Easier Magic Link Management

The Active Links page now includes a search option, making it easier to find specific Magic Links by URL or token. You can also see when each link was created, which record it belongs to, and which page it came from.

:robot: Tada AI & Studio

:bar_chart: Major Records Grid Improvements

The Records Grid now supports Saved Views, sorting by multiple fields, frozen columns, and inserting records above or below existing rows . You can also select and copy cell ranges into spreadsheets, undo or redo changes, and access a new Record History panel to track changes.

:link: Easier Connected Record Management

Connected records now appear as clickable chips that open the corresponding record, along with an improved card style connection picker. We’ve also added a new Color tool and more formatting options for Phone and Number fields.

:page_facing_up: PDF Pages in the AI Builder

The AI Builder can now generate PDF Pages directly, with support for row level security and HIPAA protected data. Apps created through Vibe can also include buttons to generate PDFs.

:credit_card: More Detailed Credit History

The Credits page now provides a clearer breakdown of your activity, with separate tabs for All, Added, Used, and Refunds, along with totals for each period.

:card_index_dividers: Grouping in Universal Tables

Universal Table components now support Group By directly from the settings panel, making it easier to organize and view related records.
