Labor Day may be behind us, but our team is already back at work with a fresh lineup of updates. Let’s see what we’ve been laboring over. ![]()
Our engineers have added:
More Flexible Summary Rows:
Summary rows can now use a different calculation for each column. Choose Column Dependent, then select the aggregate function you want to use for each individual column.
Tada AI & Studio:
-
More Ways to Get Started:
New accounts can now choose how they want to begin, whether that’s building with AI, starting from a template, bringing their own AI, moving from another tool, joining a team, or building from scratch. Each option now has its own guided setup experience to help you get started. -
A Smoother Setup Experience:
The plan selection screen is no longer shown immediately after sign-up, so you can get started on your current plan and explore other options when you’re ready. Setup questions now also support multiple selections and remember your choices if you return later. -
Faster Email Verification:
Email verification now includes quick links to open popular email providers directly to your verification email, along with the option to enter a 6-digit verification code instead. -
Build It for Me:
Not sure where to start? Answer a few questions to create a build brief, including the option to upload a CSV, then review and approve it before having your app built.
Huge MCP Updates:
You can now connect tools like Claude, ChatGPT, Claude Code, Cursor, and VS Code without manually copying access tokens. Choose your tool, follow the guided setup, and select exactly which apps it can access.
Share the Love:
We’ve made it easier to invite others to Tada AI, track their progress, and earn referral credits along the way.
Invite & Track Referrals
Write your own invitation and follow each referral from sent through signup and their first app build. You’ll earn referral credits once they build their first app.
Easier Referral Sign-Up:
Referral links now work for existing accounts too, and referral codes can be entered during signup. We’ve also made it easier to copy and share your own referral code.
HIPAA & Compliance
-
HIPAA Controls Per App:
HIPAA can now be enabled individually for each app from the Compliance Center or App Settings. HIPAA-enabled apps also include an exportable PHI Access Log, with access limited to trusted roles, and PHI masking now follows your row-level security settings. -
Compliance Readiness:
The Compliance Center now shows readiness across three levels: Account, Database, and Environment, each with its own readiness percentage and recommended next step. Anything that hasn’t been verified yet is clearly marked as not checked rather than assumed.
Building & Publishing:
Standard & Extended Build Modes:
You can now choose between Standard mode, optimized for speed, or Extended mode for a more complete A-to-Z build with a polished UI.
More Interface Controls:
Interface cards now give you quicker access to publishing, previews, custom domains, screenshots, recent deploys, and GitHub connection status. You can also assign a custom domain while publishing.
Bug Fixes:
- Fixed several Custom Code Workflow action issues, including missing value options, blank Local Storage and Connection field values, and Connection values being passed as raw IDs.
- Fixed User Signup events not triggering their associated Workflows.
- Fixed CSV imports failing when using Tab or Custom delimiters.
- Fixed apps briefly displaying the wrong screen when opening and previews reloading while still compiling.
- Fixed the Credits meter not correctly accounting for all granted and purchased credits.
- Fixed Temp Mail Box errors on apps without an inbox.
- Fixed interrupted deploys remaining stuck on “building” and published addresses not serving correctly after deploying to a non-Tada host.
- Fixed previews unexpectedly refreshing while being viewed.
- Fixed generated forms crashing when using Rich Text fields and profile forms displaying fields that couldn’t be edited.
- Fixed Enable Editing failing when used through the Studio scanner.
For a complete list of fixes see our release notes here.
That’s this week’s labor of love, Tadabasers. Happy building and see you next week! ![]()
