I am creating a time sheet system. I need to be able to associate the table records from Time Entries to a pay period in another table with a start date and end date based on the entry date in the time entry table. So if you enter a time record for 12/15/2024. I need it to automatically connect to the Pay Period in that it should connect to based on that date being between the start and end date in the pay period table.

Have a look at this first and if it looks like a solution for you then I will explain the table structure and relationship afterwards. Login as admin and contractor and go through whole time sheet life cycle. I built this couple years ago so expect minor issues but generally the concept works… anyway have a go and let me know your thoughts.

There are a few ways you could approach this.
Probably the easiest way would be to use Make.com. Depending on how your processes are set up, it might be possible within Tadabase, but it would be complex.
Are there any @partners around that can give some advice on this?
We use make on several client applications, there are many things that can be done in make that cannot be done natively in TadaBase.

This table structure does work but I don’t recommend it because at a glance you can see it doesn’t follow basic database design fundamentals.
I organised the dates in excel first and uploaded the csv into a table simply to avoid having to use pivot or complex codes in order to display one calendar week (cw) in one row…etc
it does work but i would be surprise if one of the tb partners arnt able to suggest a better solution. Both table are connected using (cw), one calendar week to many time entries. .
We also use make.com for all our apps. As @Kristen said, it could probably be done within Tadabase depending on how things are setup but it is quicker and easier in make. Feel free to reach out if you need help hello@suiteupstairs.com
