How to sort select options in a connection field

I actually have a suggestion for this problem. My problem was that I have based on the same table different ways in different forms how I would sort the dropdown field - one by alphabet and the other one by descending addition order. So this is my suggestion:

I have different dropdowns in my application based on one only table. At one position I would like to have the items in the dropdown sorted alphabetically. At the second position in the application I would like to have the items sorted after the order of the item was added in the table the dropdown is based on. You can only do the sorting now once: in the table itself with default Sort Field and Order inside the table settings. You can filter the dropdown fields as taken from the table, but …
