Search Bar in Page Layout

Can anyone tell me how to use the Search Bar function that is available when you create a Page Layout? I’m wanting to locate a specific job number from the page called ‘Job List’. I presume I enter the job number in the search field. I’ve set the placeholder and search page fields, but don’t know what to do the the URL Param field. Thanks for any guidance. Colin
